I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and work according to their ethical code of conduct. I adopt an integrative theoretical framework that draws on existential psychotherapy and relational psychdynamics, as well as cognitive approaches rooted in acceptance and commitment therapy, and buddhist oriented mindfullness.
I have specialist training in psychosexual trauma, particularly in engaging with adults who have been sexually abused, also working with perpetrators of sexual abuse. I endeavour to work in a manner that is consistently affirmative of sexual diversity.
Professional work includes: lead counsellor in HMP Cardiff; associate counsellor for Cardiff University Staff Counselling Service; counselling in long-term depression and anxiety as part of Journeys Counselling Service at GOVAL; counselling for New Pathways rape crisis and sexual abuse support services. As well as a therapist I also work as a composer and theatre maker. I regularly conduct workshops in creative voice and body work.
I work in Cardiff where I offer therapy to adults on an individual face-to-face basis. This can be as short or long as you need it to be. Therapy sessions are normally one hour and are charged at £50. I also offer face-to-face therapy to couples for which the charge is £70.
To arrange an appointment, or request further information, you can contact me either by phone or email. I will reply to you as soon as I can.
